Scientists say that the main benefit of meat leys in amino acids, the building blocks of protein substances, which strengthens the cells of muscle tissue.

People who eat foods rich in protein have lower blood pressure and healthier arteries, which significantly reduces the risk of heart attack and heart disease.

A group of researchers from the University of East Anglia, claims that foods rich in protein (such as meat, fish, dairy products, broccoli, spinach …) contains all the important substances necessary for life, and so they should be included in the daily diet.

Consuming 2.6 oz (75 grams) of meat a day, 3.5 oz (100 grams) of fish and a glass of milk helps to protect yourself against heart disease.

Scientists explain how amino acids have different effects – depending on from which source are they.

Thus amino acids from vegetables lower blood pressure and those of meat, fish and dairy products protect the arteries.

The researchers claim that one steak a day provides the body with the benefits identical to the ones of smoking cessation.
