 1. Soothing colors

“Certain colors will help you relax, but you must first take into account your own personality,” says Davidjo, author of “Destressifying: The Real-World Guide to Personal Empowerment, Lasting Fulfillment, and Peace of Mind.”

If you have type A personality (ambitious, always ready for action), water colors, such as blue and green will soothe you. If you are a more casual guy, surround yourself with earth tones.

 2. Delete the Facebook application from your mobile phone

Technology is a major cause of anxiety and stress, says Meadows.

“If you are constantly distracted, it will be very difficult, to focus on the present moment, enjoy the little things and to slow the pace” – Meadows.

 3. Morning routine relaxation

Jumping out of bed at the sound of the alarm may sound efficient, but it could immediately increase your stress levels. Instead, start every day with 10 to 15 minutes of relaxation, says Meadows. Take a few minutes to meditate, read a magazine or just enjoy the silence.

 4. Keep orange or raised oil

Next time you’re feeling tense and on edge, open a bottle of orange or rose oil. The scent of the essential oil relaxes the body and mind. Get beauty products infused with soothing scents or add a few drops of essential oil to your body lotion.

 5. Technics in 16 seconds

Do you have 16 seconds? Sure you have. First, consider the fact that troubles you in the past week. Then inhale and visualize breath that comes into your stomach. Keep it short there and slowly exhale.
