Potato Alla Carbonara: Tasty Quick Lunch!


2.2 pounds (1 kg) of potatoes, 1 small onion, 5.2 oz (150 grams) cubes of turkey, 10.1 oz (300 ml) cream, 2.8 oz (80 grams) of hard grated cheese (Parmesan), 1 egg, salt and pepper, chopped parsley.


In one bowl cook water. Wash potatoes, cut into thick slices. I do not peel, but can be also peeled. Salt the boiling water and place the potatoes to cook for about 10 minutes, depending on thickness, but do not overcook. Mix the cream, egg, cheese. Add salt and pepper. It’s nice when you put a half of a sour cream. Lay down on the side of the spoon two bacons to sprinkle on potatoes before baking. At little butter fry onion, add the diced turkey that did not put off to the side, fry a few minutes to feel the smell of turkey. Turn oven to 390 ºF(200 ºC). Drain the cooked potatoes, spread ovenproof dish with butter. Do not use too large, because the dressing would be spread over out and not being absorbed by the potatoes. Pour over the potatoes with a mixture of cream and add the turkey and onions. Stir all ingredients. Place the remaining turkey, sprinkle with chopped parsley and bake until get golden yellow, about half an hour. After 15 minutes, reduce the heat. Try with a knife if the potatoes are baked, if not increase the time grill.
